And the adventures continue...

Following a long blogging break this blog will once again be regularly updated (time permitting) and shall describe my adventures during 13 months of fieldwork in rural South Africa starting in two weeks.

I will be part of the Young Carers Project South Africa, collecting longitudinal survey data from 4000 11-18 year old adolescents in two provinces in South Africa.

I will be project managing the second round of data collection in Mpumalanga province which will interview 2000 children in rural and urban areas about daily challenges such as education, abuse, HIV/AIDS, mental health, physical health and caring for ill caregivers. The same will happen in the Western Cape, alas, not under my command.

This project is a co-operation between CAIRO, South African universities, South African NGOs and the South African Government.
My adventures commence May 24th.
