Not having slept through a single night this past week due to suffering from a terrible cold with loud bellowing coughs I went to the Acornhoek Pharmacy to seek a remedy.
The lady behind the desk told me to use strepsils against my cough. I told her I had pretty much consumed a pack of them to no avail during the last week to which she gave me a sad head shake. She then informed me that she really didn't know what to recommend and invited me behind the counter. She pointed at a shelf and told me: "All these are cold and flu medicines, just pick what you think you need!"
Flabbergasted I told her that I didn't quite know what to choose seeing that I was no doctor or pharmacist. "No problem!" was her response and she pointed out a few cough syrups. She couldn't adivise on any of them so I chose one, paid for it and slept very well last night and potentially slightly drugged.
