While I've been working a lot - and this blog seem to demonstrate that I have done nothing but work in the past weeks, I did have time to sneak away to do some cool stuff.
Best of all, a hiking weekend in Limpopo on the Magoeblaskloof Hiking Trail which ran through a scenic forrest with overnight cabins located at wonderful waterfalls, absolutely stunning.
Another highlight was the Kruger Night Drive which was so immensly cold that we had to group snuggle under blankets to contain at least some body heat and where we saw jackals, herds of elephant, bushbabies, lots of birds but unfortunately no large cats.
Great was also the day spent hiking in Blyde River Canyon which culminated in a pizza feast in Hoedspruit.
Apart from that, I am spending a lot of time in Nelspruit on car fixing business. The bumpy roads in the communties and the stifling heat have severely weakend our trusted bakkie. I am trying hard to learn the language but apart from simple conversations about family, likes and dislikes and the weather my progress is rather slow.
