how to behave in a NGO

After yesterdays post I hit the streets, taking a stroll in the afternoon heat. I found, that the Sihanouk Boulevard is a "moto" street, which means, that most shops sell motorbikes. I also found a pharmacy and had loads of fun explaining to the guy, that I was looking for a mosquito spray. I seemed to have made the right kind of noises and I got it at a price, that would insult any pharmacy in the western world.
My first day of work started early as well, we, Max the other intern, and me took a moto together at 8 to get an early start. The building of the KAS is in a protected neighborhood, called the NGO quarter. Houses are quite nice and our next door neighbor is the ambassador to Brunai. We spent the first day enjoying the garden and its inhabitants, namely the deermice, made a couple of posters and flyers and did a rough draft of the application training-programme we'll be doing during the next couple of weeks. We did some scheduling and it seems that I'll be leaving on Wednesday morning to spend the next 5 weeks in the beautiful city of Battambang. Lunch was at a street restaurant, very nice food, but so hot, I had to drink two extra bottles of water to finally be able to breathe again normally.
Just now Max had a major computer crisis because all the computers seem to be working as long as he is not trying to get online.... and the Cambodian network is a bit, well, lets say not so fast.
