Krugering

As Kruger National Park is just around the corner, I try to stay there at least one weekend per month, always at different rest camps. This weekend was spent with friends at Pretoriuskorp in the south of the park. The south is usually slightly better for animal sightings as it is much more populated. This must have something to do with animal migration, water availability and type of food available for grazers (e.g. White Rhino), mixed feeders (e.g. Elephant) and browsers (e.g. giraffe). However, as we're just entering autumn, visibility in the park is close to zero as the grass is high and the trees have leaves. You pretty much have to hit the animal to actually see it. We did get lucky with these wild dogs which smelled like death but were delightful to watch and are on the verge of extinction.
