Returning home

The last hiking day was very quiet. Not many animals were sighted even though we left camp early in the morning.

Our ride was to pick us up 7km later from the same spot he had dropped us at. Unfortunately he seemed to have forgotten us. Any attempts to use the emergency satellite phone were fruitless - it did not work. The driver showed up 2 hrs late and we all headed towards Shingwedzi for what was probably the best shower of my life.

We then had to return the tent back to Stephen, the friendly ranger. Turns out, he lives in the middle of nowhere, far away from any civilization. So far away indeed, that we thought we had taken the wrong turn down a dirt road for at least 50km.

We returned very late to Wits Rural where we spent the next couple of days to chill and to meet our curvy friend Jessica.
