Do not trust your travel agent

Travel time and I am sitting in Melbourne of all cities waiting for my connecting flight to Singapore. The last 24 hours have been a nightmare. First the burglary, then I found out that my flight was cancelled and that I had been booked unto an earlier flight wich had already left. Opodo, my travel agent, had not managed to tell me these news. There were no other flights departing from Sydney to Singapore today so I basically had a nervous breakdown in front of the very apologetic Singapore Airlines staff and they were magnificent. I was booked on a flight departing from Melbourne to Singapore which was already full, somehow they managed to get me on it. They then booked me on a flight with Virgin Blue from Sydney to Melbourne which I shared with the Melbourne Australian Football League Team (they were quite handsome) and they even managed to get me the seat by the emergency exit which will mean much more space for my feet for the long distances from Melbourne to Singapore and to London.

Thanks to my family to making this holiday so pleasurable.
