Roo heaven

If I believed in God I would most certainly believe in heaven as well and I would hope that all the kangaroos killed last night on the roads here (I counted 20 but there were probably more) because of reckless driving will go to roo heaven and won't do so without leaving a very big dent in those very expensive and way too fast cars that placed them there.
Considering how few cars are on the roads up here, we see one about every 5-10 minutes in the national parks they have a very high hit and kill quota.

Anyways, another splendid day today saw us rising way too early, 6:30 am to see some of the wildlife active at dawn and walk some miles before the sun got too hot. It was another scorcher of a day, 38 degrees and even in the early hours the heat was just bearable. Having probably actually broken a toe in my right foot and possibly having injured a joint capsule on my big toe on my left foot I wasn't up for a difficult trail - limping with two feet is quite exhausting. So we decided to head to Yardie Creek, the only sweet water creek in the region that carries water all year around. The gorge runs deep blue water surrounded by red colored limestone cliffs and hosts various animals of which we saw none.
We were however able to see a number of Emus, Roos (dead and alive), Wallabys, Lizards and a yellow crab running for the waters.

Afterwards we escaped the heat with some snorkelling at Turquoise Bay and went in search of turtles yet again but sighted none.

We'll see what the evening will bring. Tomorrow we're back in Perth for the softball final and I hope I can put up some photos as well.

No awful songs stuck in my head today.
